Writing Spider
This morning as I walked my daughter outside to meet the school bus, I saw in my garden a black and yellow garden spider. They are also sometimes called "Writing Spiders" this is because of the thick zig-zag line they create in the center of their webs. Supposedly they are harmless to people and will only bite if grabbed- but I wasn't taking any chances and used a digital zoom to get the photos! I have only ever seen one other spider like this- so I thought I would share her. The female spiders are bigger than males- and this spider is huge so I will call it a her! :-) They are also able to eat things twice their size and wikipedia says they can eat small bats. Kinda scary, but really neat!

Our weekend in Gatlinburg!
Every year we travel to Gatlinburg, TN to renew our wedding vows on our Anniversary. It is so much fun and we have a neat story about every ceremony. They have all been memorable- sometimes good and sometimes bad. This year we celebrated our 7th Anniversary and had our 8th wedding. I am planning to upload pictures from each of them for a later post. Here are just a few pictures from our trip this weekend!

Senior Photos with Miss B
I kept some of my favorite shots to show her first, but I wanted to add a couple of photos from the session I had with Miss B the other day. As you can see- she made my job very easy. She was up for walking through weeds, climbing bales of hay, and going places that we were technically supposed to stay out of! :-) I had a blast with her and her mom in the super hot summer weather. She always had a smile on her face. We are planning on trying to get in a few photos in different locations and I will post more when we do!

Green Bottom- Sunday Drive
My hubby had to work all weekend and we didn't have many opportunities to get out and about. Sunday afternoon when he got home from work we took a drive to the Green Bottom Wildlife Area. Caylee practiced her picture taking skills with her disposable camera, and Jaxson was just happy to go along for the ride. It is a great place to take pictures!!

Crafting My Camera Bag
Most of my friends and family knowthat I am one of those people that gets called a jack-of-all-trades. I am always into something- I sew, crochet, scrapbook, paint, craft, take pictures, make jewelry, make (mostly glue) hairbows, and just about anything else I get asked to do. This week I have been working on making cornhole boards with the hubster and today I decided to build a new camera case. I have been hunting for a new bag to carry all my equipment in, and I have been having trouble finding exactly what I want within my budget. I had run across a couple of message boards where people discussed building their own case- so I decided to craft one! I took an old suitcase that we have, added foam and fabric, and TA-DA! Here are some pictures of my new case that holds everything. There is even room for the camera that I was taking the pictures with! :-)
I made a really thick pad to put on top of everything just to really make sure it was all protected!

Playing with the Camera-On my birthday!!
On my birthday my wonderful family surprised me with a party. All the people I love were there and we had so much fun. I took a couple of pictures during the party and I decided to show the grungy style that is becoming so popular. When you hire a photographer to take capture your special moments, make sure you discuss exactly what you are looking for in the finished product. Each photographer is different and some have a style that may not represent you.
